Technical Features

Product Structure: The cadmium telluride thin-film solar cell consists of five layers: glass substrate, transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layer, window layer (CdS), absorption layer (CdTe), and the back contact/electrode system.

Weak Light Performance CdTe is a direct bandgap material. Luminous effect in early morning, evening, snow, or haze is significantly better than crystalline silicon cells.
Low Temperature Coefficient Performance remains stable at high temperatures. The coefficient is about -0.21~0.25%/ºC, roughly half that of traditional silicon cells.
High Conversion Efficiency With a 1.47eV bandgap, it absorbs over 90% of visible light with a thickness of only 1μm. Theoretical efficiency potential is 28-29%.
Power Stability No light-induced degradation (LID) characteristics. Spectral absorption is not affected by water vapor in humid climates.
